Hello and welcome, my name is Bill Blamire

Some time ago I realised that I was getting a little tired of the frantic pace of life in the UK, and with my two children Marc & Alex having left home, a more restful approach seemed like a good idea.

So, I upped sticks and moved to France 6 years ago, and after 8 months of searching found La Barabie, a traditional style house that was being used by a French family as a rural retreat. I had seen the potential of other houses in the area and thought: How hard can it be?

Well I soon found out! Have you ever seen one of those Property Programmes, where you wonder if the project will ever get finished? I think this place should have been the topic of a documentary it took so long to bring to life!

However…….It has all been worth it in the end, I have a lovely house in a peaceful setting, with all that is needed close by. Please have a look around the site and see what is available. There are lots of options if you would like to stay, and as I have a small apartment next door, I can be as helpful or low profile as is required.
